The prime reason for this site is to record my N Gauge Model Railway development. There are three reasons why people choose to model in N Gauge. The first is the appeal of the size. The second is that it enables longer trains and greater scenic development without the sacrifices normally associated with the larger scales. The third is that a small scale occupies less space than its larger contemporaries. Due to space limitations I decided to model in N gauge, and I have been a member of the N Gauge Society since 2005. The old layout was called Tadmin . It was designed to use conventional DC, and it was intended to migrate to using a Layout Control Bus, to operate points, signals and uncouplers. Construction has started on the current layout, Badger. The scope of Badger is much less than that for Tadmin but its technical complexity is greater! This layout uses Direct Command Control (DCC). A natual spin-off for this is of course an interest in Electronics, and a corresponding interest in the PIC µController. My Model Railway and other interests are grouped into the sections detailed on the right. |

This is the 5th iteration of the my web site. The 1st, 3rd, and 4th were hosted by the now defunct Geocities free service. The 3rd attempted to use entirely CSS but that proved to be impractical. This interation, the 5th, is hosted by Demon, as was the 2nd. This website appears correct when using Internet Explorer 8.
